U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke meets with Astronergy Solar Chief Executive Officer Dr. Liyou Yang

HANGZHOU, China, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The 20th China-U.S. Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade was held in Hangzhou October 28-29; the theme this year was new energy. Gary Locke met with Astronergy Solar Chief Executive Officer Dr. Liyou Yang in Hangzhou, during which time they discussed deep cooperation between China and the U.S. in the field of new energy.

Locke inquired of Dr. Liyou Yang in detail about Astronergy Solar's products, and showed great interest in the company's technological achievements. In addition, they discussed the ways in which China and the U.S. cooperate in the field of new energy, such as joint investments in the utilization of solar energy, and the vision of establishing production and R&D facilities in the U.S. Locke introduced the efforts made by the U.S. to promote the development of new energies. According to him, some states have launched incentive policies, and Chinese enterprises are welcome to invest in these regions. Locke also said they will bring together new energy enterprises in both China and the US, including manufacturing and application companies, to hold seminars on further promoting bilateral cooperation in the field.
