The report indicates that only 39% of the Haitian population, estimated at 10.7 million inhabitants, has access to electricity, the lowest rate in the Latin America region, while the Dominican Republic and Jamaica have reached respectively 100% and 98% of access to electricity. Only a handful of African countries (Uganda (27%), Somalia (30%), Zimbabwe (38%) and Zambia (27%) have a level of access worse than Haiti...
