Trina Storage, the energy storage business of Chinese solar panel maker Trina Solar Co Ltd (SHA:688599), is joining forces with inverter manufacturer Power Electronics to jointly deploy over 1 GWh of batteries by the end of 2023.

The two companies have signed a letter of intent (LoI) during Intersolar Europe 2022. The pact outlines their partnership, which is linked to Trina Storage’s newly-launched battery energy storage system (BESS) called Elementa.

The Trina Solar unit claims that its new product is a modular and smart storage system that enables up to 25% more cycles and cost savings. The turnkey solution will include Power Electronics' latest PCSK battery inverters. These will be launched initially in the European market and later in the US as well.
